A Jersey City pizzeria employee was punched several times in the face and chased through the store after he asked a man what size pizza he wanted, according to police reports.
The 27-year-old victim told police that at about 10:30 Wednesday he was explaining to a man at the Papa John's on 18th Street the various sizes of pizza he could order by pointing out a stack of different size pizza boxes, reports said.
Suddenly, the man, described as 6-foot and 300 pounds, wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt, walked behind the counter and started punching the worker in his face, according to police reports.
The worker said he and a witness fled through the rear door of the store and the attacker ran behind them and locked the door from the inside, reports said.
Outside the front of the store, the attacker struck another man, who fought with him, rolling into the parking lot, reports said.
